Our scuba diving courses

At Albatros Top Diving Centres all PADI and SSI courses are available, from base level up to all professional levels. In our centres we care a lot about methods and logistics: protected lagoons with sandy bottom gradually sloping, warm water and perfect conditions for all kind of exercises.

BUBBLE MAKER – for kids
The Bubblemaker programme is meant for kids of 8+ years: it makes fun, it’s easy and safe and it is a nice way to let kids participate to the adults activities and to involve them in a new water activity. The kids should be water fan, but no need for them to be professional swimmers!
Maximum depth is only 2 metres / 6 feet.
Minimum age: 8 years old

SEAL TEAM – for young adults
The Seal Team programme is for young scuba divers who like action and entertainment and who like to participate at the so-called “AquaMissions”. Diving with a scuba torch for the first time, take underwater pictures or floating like an astronaut… these are some of the many AquaMissions! While having fun, you will discover how to dive in total safety. Among the various activities you can choose: wreck specialist, navigation specialist, buoyancy specialist, snapshot specialist, environmental specialist and many others.
It’s time to start something exciting in the swimming pool or in the lagoon, meet new friends and enjoy the new adventure in the underwater world!

Minimum age: 8 years old

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING .

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving gives the opportunity to dive for the first time together with an instructor in total safety. This course lasts half a day and includes a brief session of theory, a session of exercises in the shallow water of the lagoon in order to learn the basic dive techniques and finally dive among the fishes and the colourful corals together with your instructor. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world and can be accounted as the first half day lesson of the following Open Water Diver / PADI Scuba Diver, in case he or she may continue with the scuba adventure.
To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old.

SCUBA DIVER .

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you ̶ particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification. In one and a half day you get a diving license – unlimited in time and recognized all over the world – and that allows diving under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.
It is the best way to start diving in a short time period and allows obtaining the Open Water Diver license only by completing the course.
To enrol in a Junior PADI Scuba Diver course you must be 10 years old or older and 15 years old if you want to enrol in a PADI Scuba Diver.

OPEN WATER DIVER .

The Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular and widely recognized first level scuba course with international validity and without any limits in time. It allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres/59 feet. The course lasts from 3 up to 4 days and it is structured as follows:
– Theory sessions, organized in an amusing and efficient way in order to provide the students with the theoretical knowledge needed to start diving; exercise sessions in shallow waters which provide the basic techniques; 4 leisure dives while enjoying the amazing underwater world of the Maldives.
All the activities are done under the supervision of our instructors, who are always very patient and willing to help students to overcome every possible difficulty.
To enrol in a Junior PADI Scuba Diver course you must be 10 years old or older and 15 years old if you want to enrol in a PADI Scuba Diver.

ADVENTURE DIVER .
The Adventure Diver course is a second level course and is a subset of the Advanced Open Water Diver Course. It comprises three speciality dives to be chosen among plenty according to the interest of the student.

ADVANCE OPEN WATER DIVER .

The Advanced Open Water Diver course comprises five specialty dives (only 2 if you already have the Adventure Diver license) and the opportunity to try the most useful and amusing scuba specialty activity, such as the Deep diver, Underwater Navigator, Underwater Naturalist and many others. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. Furthermore the Advanced Open Water Diver course will bring you closer to the Master Scuba Diver level, which is the highest non-professional level among recreational diving.
At the end of the course you will be able to dive at a maximum depth of 30 metres/98 feet. (21 metres for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver).
The course comprises of 5 dives in open waters full of excitement and fun.

To enrol in in an Advanced Open Water Diver course you need a first level license (Open Water or equivalent), minimum age of 12 years for Junior Advanced Open water Diver and 15 years for Advanced Open Water Diver.

SPECIALITY DIVER COURSES .

At our diving centres you can enrol also at all Speciality diver courses such as Deep diver, Drift diver, Marine Biology and many others… Many divers get more and more passionate the more they dive and the Specialty Diver courses teach you new techniques and give you the tools to enhance your exploration.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE .

Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. These courses teach you not only diving related emergencies but the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies and to assist family members, friends, neighbours, colleagues etc.
Everybody can enrol in these courses.

RESCUE DIVER .

Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. With this course you will improve your knowledge and your experience.
You learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. Many divers say that this is the best course among all.
To enrol in this course you have to have a second level certification (Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent). Minimum age: 12 years.

MASTER SCUBA DIVER .

Join the best of the best in recreational scuba diving and live the dive life as a PADI Master Scuba Diver. This course consists of gaining a higher level of experience through diving and to participate to various Speciality diver in different domains.

You need to have logged a minimum of 50 dives; Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent), you have to be at least 12 years old and you also need to earn 5 Specialty Diver certifications.

DIVEMASTER – Scuba diving guide .

The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems.
You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training.
